Wood-fired pizza and handmade pasta, the Italian way

A twelve-table osteria where the dough proofs for 48 hours, the pasta is rolled every morning and the wine comes from growers we know by name.

Our story

Nonna Lucia's recipes, cooked over fire

Lucia and Marco opened Osteria Lucia in 2011 with one oven, twelve tables and a hand-written menu. Fifteen years later it's still family — Marco at the oven, Lucia at the pass, their daughters pouring wine — and the pasta is still rolled by hand before every service.

  • A wood-fired oven shipped from Naples in 2011
  • Pasta, bread and mozzarella made in-house daily
  • Family-owned and family-run, every single night

What we're known for

Everything starts in our own kitchen — from the dough we let rise for two days to the pasta sheets we cut to order.

Wood-Fired Pizza

Neapolitan-style pies blistered in a 900°F oven, with San Marzano tomatoes and mozzarella made an hour from here.

Handmade Pasta

Cacio e pepe, tagliatelle al ragù and weekend ravioli, rolled by hand every morning. Never dried, never rushed.

Natural Wines

A short, ever-changing list of small Italian growers, skin-contact whites and easy carafes by the glass.

Garden Patio

String lights, olive trees and 40 seats under the Texas sky. First come, first seated — dogs always welcome.

A seat at our table

Warm light, loud tables and plates meant for sharing — a look around the dining room and the garden patio.

Regular since 2019

The cacio e pepe ruined every other pasta in Austin for me. We drive in from Round Rock just for it.

Engaged in the garden

Best pizza in the city, full stop — and the patio at sunset is why we booked our rehearsal dinner here.

Anniversary dinner

Lucia remembered our anniversary and sent out dessert with a candle. No other restaurant treats you like family.

Wine list regular

The natural wine list is thoughtful and the staff actually know it. Ask for the Etna Rosso and thank me later.
